This brick bears engraved symbols of Jewish worship: the Star of David and the seven-branched menorah. Clear traces of writing can be seen both above and below the symbols. Although difficult to date precisely, the artifact comes from the Rio Tùdas, a stream that was still known in the first half of the 19th century as Rio Judas, as recorded by Vittorio Angius in the “Dizionario del Casalis”. The place name is historically significant and suggests the presence of a Jewish community in the territory.
